But if you are visiting Iceland for the first time with your family or friends then, make sure you do not miss out on the horse riding tours. The Icelandic horses are not like any other horses, these are fine-gaited breed and are specifically known for their different types of gaits – trot, walk, tölt, pace, and gallop and sure-footedness. This is something you will see once you go riding.
While enjoying on the horseback, you will cross the river Varmá along the narrow path and will reach the ancient lava field, which is created by the volcano Hengill. Now continuing on the trails and crossing the mountain ridges, the route will take you to the magnificent geothermal Reykjadalur valley. You will witness the spectacular views, and magnificent Icelandic nature. While passing through and witnessing the stunning panoramic views, we will pass the waterfall Djúpagilsfoss and hot springs before reaching the Reykjadalur valley where you can also have the opportunity to relax in a warm stream. And after this, continuing along the mountain trails, we will be back to our starting place. We suggest you not to forget to carry warm clothes and reliable shoes for complete safety.
