About Tour

Are you someone who loves to explore nature and marine life? If yes, then here is the perfect tour for you to go on – Húsavík Whale Watching & Puffins Tour. This tour is all about seeing the most beautiful creatures on Earth up and close. Though numerous places in Iceland will make you see the raw nature and allows you to experience new areas, the happiness you get when you see the creatures enjoying in their natural habitat is something that cannot be explained in words, you need to visit and explore yourself. So, let’s get to know more about this tour.

Whale Watching and Seeing Puffins Closely

The complete tour will take approximately 3.5 hours that will make you see the beautiful whales and also the puffins too. On this tour, you will visit Puffin Island, where you will see the puffins with brightly colored bills, clumsy, wobbling walk, and watery eyes. Iceland is known as the home to more than 60% of the entire world’s Puffin population. It is a perfect birdwatching place, but one should respect nature and should not disturb the puffins. During mid-August, puffins leave Iceland and return at the end of April, therefor this tour is only available during summer.

Now moving on to the next destination, we will head towards the area where we will see the whales. Not only whales, but you will also see dolphins in the ocean too. You will get to see the spectacular species and amazing wildlife in Skjálfandi Bay. Apart from this, you will see humpback whales, white-beaked dolphins, Minke whales, white-beaked dolphins, porpoises, and also, blue whales and fin whales, during the beginning of summers. Icelandic weather is completely unpredictable, so we will bring warm overalls and raincoats for you if needed. However, we recommend that you come prepared and wear warm clothes underneath the overalls that will protected from cold winds on The Atlantic Ocean.

Yes, and you definitely should! The setting on the tour is full of amazing, scenic views.

This is, of course, a personal choice, we have often had pregnant women on our trips. This tour is listed as easy so if you do not feel uncomfortable on a boat, this tour should be ideal for you.

There are plenty of free parking lots next to the meeting point of the tour.
