Itinerary
Our adventure starts by driving through the mountains that separate Reykjavik from the south. You’ll be treated to breathtaking views of lava fields, distant peaks, and geothermal plants releasing steam.
Hveragerði
Our first stop is Hveragerði, where you can enjoy coffee and Icelandic sweets at a local bakery. In the same building, you can experience a simulation of the 2008 earthquake in the south at the Earthquake Museum.
Kerið Crater

We’ll continue our journey, crossing fields, meadows, and glacial rivers, to reach the beautiful Kerið, a volcanic crater lake. You can take a walk around the crater’s edge or even touch the water.
Brúarhlöð Canyon

Brúarhlöð is a captivating canyon carved by the Hvítá River in South Iceland, located approximately three kilometers south of the renowned Gullfoss waterfall. The river has sculpted the canyon’s breccia rock formations into striking pillars and cliffs over centuries. This hidden gem offers visitors a serene spot for hiking, sightseeing, and picnicking, with panoramic views of the river’s milky glacial waters contrasting against the dark volcanic rock. Adventure seekers can also experience the canyon’s beauty up close through river rafting tours that navigate its exhilarating rapids.
Geysir geothermal area

At Geysir geothermal area, you’ll witness hot water erupting into the air, reaching heights of about 20 meters. The whole area is filled with steam from the geothermal activity.
Gullfoss waterfall

Gullfoss, our next stop, is a mesmerizing waterfall with many cascades dropping into a canyon. If the weather cooperates, you might even see rainbows. It’s also a great place for lunch and shopping, and we recommend trying the traditional Icelandic soup.
Friðheimar Tomato Farm

Friðheimar Tomato Farm is a one-of-a-kind greenhouse experience located in the heart of Iceland’s Golden Circle. Here, tomatoes are grown year-round using geothermal energy, and guests can dine right inside the greenhouse! Enjoy fresh tomato-based dishes, sip on tomato beer or Bloody Marys, and learn about sustainable farming in Iceland. A delicious and unique stop you won’t want to miss!
Þingvellir National Park

Our final destination is Þingvellir, the oldest working parliament in the world. You can explore the historic battlegrounds where Vikings once fought and walk between two tectonic plates, the European and the American, creating a unique canyon.
Þórufoss waterfall

Þórufoss is a hidden gem located just a short drive from Reykjavik, near the scenic Mosfellsdalur Valley. This peaceful and lesser-known waterfall cascades down a rocky cliff into a calm river, offering a quiet escape from the crowds. Fun fact: Þórufoss made a brief appearance in Game of Thrones! A perfect stop for nature lovers and photographers looking for a tranquil Icelandic moment.
Arrive back in Reykjavik
After the tour, we’ll return to Reykjavik, approximately a 60-minute drive, and drop you off at your hotel or a bus stop.
