Itinerary
We begin our hike just above the town of Seyðisfjörður, where we ascend gently into the surrounding hills for sweeping views of the colorful village, deep fjord, and cascading waterfalls. As we walk, your guide will share stories of the historic landslide in December 2020 that forced a full evacuation of the town. You’ll learn how this resilient community recovered and adapted.
Continuing along the ridge, we explore quiet paths with frequent stops for stories and photos. Our final stop is the fascinating Tvísöngur sound sculpture — an open-air concrete installation tuned to Icelandic five-tone harmony. You’ll have time to explore and listen to the sounds interacting with the wind and sea.
