About Tour
Try the most exhilarating activity in Borgarfjörður Eystri! The Grey Ridge Mountain Bike Tour combines breathtaking views, raw nature, and an exciting descent over one of Iceland’s most dramatic ridgelines. Starting at the Hafnarhólmi Puffin Marina, you’ll hike with your bike to the Brúnavíkurskarð mountain pass and ride along the ridge with sweeping views of Brúnavík, Njarðvík, and Mt. Dyrfjöll. The tour ends with a thrilling 3-kilometer downhill ride that delivers both adrenaline and awe. After the adventure, enjoy a relaxed visit to the puffin viewing platforms with your guide.

Itinerary
Start – Hafnarhólmi Puffin Marina Parking Area
Meet your guide and get fitted for your full-suspension bike. After a short tuning session, begin the journey.
Hike to Brúnavíkurskarð Mountain Pass
A moderate hike with your bike to about 350m above sea level. You’ll pass beautiful valleys and possibly spot puffins along the cliffs.
Ridge Ride with Panoramic Views
At the top, enjoy views of Brúnavík, Njarðvík, Borgarfjörður, and Mt. Dyrfjöll. Your guide will share stories and geological insights.
3km Downhill Ride
Hold on for a thrilling descent down a hand-cut mountain trail back to the marina, riding through wild Icelandic nature.
Puffin Marina Visit
