About Tour

Experience the ultimate ice cave adventure with our guided tour designed to maximize your enjoyment and minimize the crowds. With a focus on nature and the glacier itself, this tour is perfect for those seeking a more immersive experience.

Our experienced guides will lead you to a less crowded ice cave, ensuring that you have more time to explore and appreciate the stunning natural surroundings. In some cases, we may need to hike on the glacier to reach the ice cave. The tour lasts between 4 to 6 hours depending on the location and weather.

You don’t have to worry about any equipment as we provide everything, including a backpack with all the necessary gear. We will take a super jeep as close to the glacier as possible and then hike in the glacier area. Sometimes we may need to walk on the glacier to reach the ice caves.

If you are a photography enthusiast, this tour is perfect for you. Our ice caves are naturally formed, and their shape and location are entirely decided by nature. We always prioritize your safety and choose the best ice cave for every trip. Please note that the drive and the hike to the ice cave may vary depending on the day, but we will ensure that you have the best possible experience.

If, due to nature’s unpredictability, we are unable to reach the ice cave, don’t worry, we have other extraordinary alternatives for you. Our tour is designed to give you a once-in-a-lifetime experience that will stay with you forever. So, book your ice cave tour today and get ready for an unforgettable adventure!

Itinerary

Join us on an unforgettable tour departing from the stunning Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon. Our journey towards the glacier will be on a super jeep, which takes approximately 30 minutes each way. Our experienced guides will go through all the necessary equipment, including crampons, helmets, harnesses, and ice picks. As we embark on our adventure, we will hike part of the way on the glacier, so it is crucial to have the appropriate gear.

We will start our excursion by visiting a breathtaking blue ice cave, where you will have plenty of time to photograph and explore the magnificent shapes in the ice. After our time in the cave, we will venture deeper into the glacier to explore the wild and unspoiled landscape on a scenic hike. We will take our time, allowing everyone to enjoy and capture the moment, before returning to Jökulsárlón.
