About Tour
While the South of Iceland is undeniably stunning from the ground, nothing compares to the breathtaking views you’ll experience from above during the Eyjafjallajökull snowmobile tour!
Your adventure kicks off at our base camp, conveniently located near the iconic Eyjafjallajökull Glacier. Here, our friendly and certified tour guides will equip you with everything you need, including a safety briefing to ensure you’re ready for the journey ahead. Once you’re geared up, we’ll hop into a specially designed super jeep, which will take us to the starting point of our exhilarating snowmobile ride.
This tour is perfectly tailored for first-time riders and those seeking a scenic, fun experience. As you explore the wilderness atop the glacier, prepare to be mesmerized by the breathtaking vistas that South Iceland has to offer.
On a clear day, you can expect jaw-dropping views that stretch from the Westman Islands to Ingólfsfjall and even encompass a significant portion of the highlands!
We begin at our base, Brú by Road 249. After a brief safety orientation, you’ll don a snowsuit and helmet (with gloves and a mask provided) before climbing into our modified super jeep. The drive takes us up the slopes of Eyjafjallajökull and onto the glacier, where our snowmobiles await.
Once we arrive, it’s time to embark on an exhilarating ride across the glacier’s vast expanse. Be prepared to be awed by the pristine blanket of snow, punctuated by dramatic rock formations and impressive ice sculptures.
As we venture deeper into this icy wilderness, you’ll be treated to some of the most spectacular views of South Iceland. Picture vast snowfields, towering mountains, and majestic landmarks all around you.
Gliding across the powdery snow will be a breeze, and your knowledgeable guide will share fascinating insights about glaciers and the myths that surround them. This is more than just a ride; it’s an unforgettable journey through one of Iceland’s most magnificent landscapes!
