Itinerary
Gullfoss Waterfall Meeting Point
Location: Head to Road 35 and find the upper parking area of Gullfoss Waterfall. You’ll see the “Gullfoss – Panorama Restaurant – Cafe – Shop” nearby. If you park in the lower area, just return to the main road and take a right turn uphill. Here’s a map for reference: [Google Maps Link]
Meeting Time: Please arrive by 11:45 AM.
Look for Our Vehicles: Our transfer bus will be parked near the meeting point sign in the parking lot, close to the Gullfoss Cafe. During winter, keep an eye out for the large red Monster Glacier Truck.
Langjökull Glacier Exploration
Getting Started: You’ll transfer to our main base in a Highland bus. Once there, board the Sleipnir Monster Glacier Truck and choose a comfortable seat—your adventure is about to begin!
Guided Stories: Throughout the journey, our knowledgeable guides will share fascinating stories about the glaciers and local folklore, making the ride as interesting as the scenery outside.
Journey to the Glacier: We’ll drive along the highland road to Langjökull, the “Long Glacier.” The landscape unfolds with each turn, showcasing the stunning beauty of this remote area, which was once difficult to access. Our Monster Glacier Truck ensures a safe and comfortable journey.
Ice Cave Visit: Enter the heart of the glacier and marvel at the crystal-clear ice lined with ancient black volcanic ash and subtle blue hues. The ash layers, remnants of past eruptions, add a unique touch to the glacial ice.
Photo Opportunities: The ice cave’s sparkling walls and tranquil atmosphere offer perfect photo moments. Outside, the vast glacier and breathtaking views provide equally stunning backdrops.

- We do not have infant seats on the Monster Truck.
- Ice caves, a marvel of nature, are subject to changing weather conditions. Your safety is our utmost concern, and in unforeseen circumstances, the tour may need to be canceled on short notice. Please note that Ice Cave exploration may not be possible for safety reasons. In such instances, we are happy to provide alternative tour options, reschedule your date, or offer a full refund for your convenience.
