Driving in the Westfjords

The driving conditions on the way to Vegavinnubaðið hot spring are good but some of the roads on the way are gravel roads. Travelers are thus advised to stroll around on a 4×4 vehicle for a smooth drive around the area. Tourists can also rent 4WD cars, and should also check the insurance and whether it is suitable for gravel roads or not. Some of the roads in the area are also closed depending upon the season. Thus, do check whether the route you are taking is open as per the season you are traveling in or not.

Getting There

Although Vegavinnubaðið spring is located in the isolated region of Iceland, it is still very accessible. It can be reached through different modes of transport such as bus, car, plane, or boat.
