The starting point of this tour is from the rafting location at Drumboddstaðir in the Golden Circle. It is also possible to book this tour with a pick up from Reykjavik, find it here. The complete tour will take approximately 4 hours. Minimum age to join the tour is 11 years and the tour is available from May through September. One group will have 12 member who will be accompanied by a trained tour guide and a rafting instructor.

Driving time to Drumboddstaðir from Reykjavík is around 1 hour & 28 minutes in good road conditions.
We always recommend to book as soon as you are ready especially if you have a strict travel schedule or a large group. This is a small group tour so it gets fully booked pretty quickly. It is easy to change or cancel the tour 24 hours before departure by emailing us. Tours can also be purchased the day of departure as long as there are spaces available.
Wear warm undergarment clothing including fleece/wool sweater and pants. You will get a wetsuit, life vest and helmet for the river rafting.
If the tour gets cancelled, for example due to weather, we will let you know as soon as possible and you can choose between rescheduling the tour or receiving a full refund.

In Drumboddsstaðir you will find a reception, bar, seating area inside and out, showers and a sauna. You can buy an Icelandic traditional meal or beer tasting after the river rafting. Add it to your booking engine when booking the tour.
Yes, we recommend that you bring extra set of clothing as you might get wet in the River Rafting. This means that you can get a hot shower and a sauna and change to dry clothes after the rafting adventure.
