About Tour - Snorkeling in Silfra with pick up from Reykjavik
Situated within the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Thingvellir, and located just about 50 km from Reykjavik, Silfra stands proudly as one of the world’s most remarkable dive sites. Its allure lies in the fact that it is a freshwater fissure, reaching depths of about 60-63 meters. The crystal-clear waters grant an extraordinary view, allowing you to see almost from end to end. The feeling of floating weightlessly in the pristine waters is akin to soaring through the air.
For those seeking to explore Silfra’s wonders while staying comfortably warm, snorkeling in a drysuit is a viable option. The drysuit, designed with layers of insulating fabric, offers protection from the cold waters of the fissure. However, we highly recommend opting for the wetsuit, as it promises a much more enjoyable experience. Adventure Vikings stands out as the sole Icelandic company offering wetsuit snorkeling in Silfra. Rest assured, you won’t regret choosing the wetsuit option. Unlike the drysuit, the wetsuit allows you to dive into the depths of the fissure, granting you a sense of true adventure. The best part is that no prior diving experience or license is required to embark on this unforgettable journey.
