Super Jeep Ride Through Lava Fields
Feel the thrill as you travel off-road across rugged volcanic terrain. Our Super Jeep is engineered to handle steep ascents, loose lava rock, and remote trails unreachable by standard vehicles.
Stop 1: Geldingadalir Viewpoint
Enjoy a sweeping panorama of the lava fields left behind by the 2021 eruption. From a high vantage point, take in the dramatic textures and formations that show nature’s raw creative force.
Stop 2: Sundhnúkagígar Crater Row
See the contrasting black lava that poured from the 2023 and 2024 eruptions. Learn about the sequence of events that led to the explosive transformation of this landscape in recent years.
Stop 3: Lava Close-Up Encounter
Walk a short distance to the edge of freshly cooled lava. Feel the warmth that still radiates from beneath the surface, and see steam vents rising in the distance. Capture unforgettable photos and experience volcanic Iceland up close — safely and comfortably.
Return to Fagradalsfjall Parking Lot
