This full-day tour combines the thrill of Iceland’s volcanic forces with the tranquility of its world-renowned geothermal bathing culture. You’ll explore the UNESCO-listed Reykjanes Geopark, hike across lava fields still warm from recent eruptions, and unwind at the luxurious oceanfront Sky Lagoon.

Start your journey with a comfortable pickup from Reykjavík and meet your expert guide for the day.
Seltún Geothermal Area
Your first stop is at Seltún (Krýsuvík), a vividly colorful geothermal field. Explore bubbling mud pots, hissing steam vents, and mineral-stained earth that feels almost otherworldly. Learn about geothermal energy and the volcanic forces that power the region.
Fagradalsfjall Volcano Hike
Travel deeper into Reykjanes to begin your guided 5.5 km round-trip hike to a viewpoint above the 2021–2023 eruption sites. The moderate ascent takes you through rugged lava landscapes with views over new craters and cooled lava flows. Your guide will explain the recent volcanic activity and provide time for photography and rest stops.
Visit to Grindavík Volcano Village
After your hike, visit the resilient town of Grindavík. This coastal community has faced repeated volcanic threats and adapted with innovative barriers and monitoring systems. Learn about their experience, walk through visible fissures, and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant (not included).
Sky Lagoon Spa Experience
Return to Reykjavík and relax at the iconic Sky Lagoon. Enjoy sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean as you soak in warm geothermal water. Take part in the Seven-Step Ritual — a unique blend of hot, cold, sauna, and body scrub techniques that reflect Icelandic wellness traditions.
Drop-off in Reykjavík
After a day of adventure and relaxation, you’ll be comfortably dropped off back at your accommodation or the BSÍ terminal.
