Itinerary
Start Your Adventure in Hveragerði
Your unforgettable experience begins at the reception area near the Reykjadalur trailhead, just outside the charming town of Hveragerði. Here, you’ll meet your professional guide, who will provide a detailed safety briefing and help you gear up with a specialized harness and helmet for a secure and comfortable jump. To fully enjoy the activity, wear warm, windproof, and waterproof clothing, along with sturdy shoes for the short hike to the jump site.
Scenic Walk to the Freefall Tower
After preparing, you’ll hop on a shuttle for a ride to the Svartagljúfur canyon. From there, a short 15-minute walk takes you to the launch point at the Kambar plateau. Along the way, soak in the breathtaking views of cascading waterfalls, striking basalt columns, and the rugged canyon landscape. This scenic hike is the perfect prelude to the main event.
Take the Plunge Like a Puffin
At the freefall tower, your guide will ensure you’re securely harnessed and briefed again on the safety measures. Then comes the highlight of your adventure: a heart-pounding 42-foot (13-meter) plunge from the tower. The sensation is reminiscent of a puffin diving off a cliff into the ocean—an exhilarating moment that will leave you breathless and wanting more.
Relax and Reflect
Once your jump is complete, return to the starting point and head back to the reception area. Here, the staff will assist you in removing your safety gear. Take some time to browse the souvenir shop or relax at the nearby café, where you can savor a hot drink and enjoy the serene surroundings.
