About Tour

Iceland is indeed a treasure for travel enthusiasts and nature lovers! With breathtaking landscapes, jaw-dropping panoramic views, and floating icebergs, you travel across the most beautiful locations present in Iceland, and probably across the globe. There is one thing that you cannot miss when in Iceland, and that is Golden Circle and the Hot Spring at The Secret Lagoon. This combo tour includes visiting the three most popular spots in Iceland along with the treasured hot water spring – the oldest one too.  Let’s know more about the destinations covered in the tour.

The Golden Circle

For a perfect Icelandic experience, start with the Golden Circle Tour via which you can witness the beauty of the natural waterfalls, geysers, hot springs, and panoramic views of the spectacular landscapes with natural hues fluttering all over the sky. The tour to Golden Circle includes three attractions – the most famous sites – Thingvellir National Park, Gullfoss waterfall and Geysir Hot Spring Area.

Kerid Crater

Kerið Crater in Golden Circle in Iceland

Kerid is a Volcanic Crater located in South Iceland. It is considered to be one of the most beautiful crater in Iceland. The crater is surrounded by eye-popping red volcanic rocks which make the blue color of the crater pop up. You can follow the short hiking path to the crater for magnificent views. You can even hike your way down to the crater.

Admission fee to Kerið Crater is included in the tour.

The Secret Lagoon

Iceland hot spring, Secret Lagoon hot spring in Iceland, tours to the Secret Lagoon

The Secret Lagoon Hot Spring is a perfect place to relax. It is one of the oldest, man-made swimming pools in Iceland, fed by the naturally occurring hot springs at Hverahólmi. The lagoon is approximately 38-40 degree Celsius warm. The water will rest your mind, body and soul. This will be your second stop of the tour. This tour is planned so that we will be visiting when there are less people in the lagoon.

We will spend a good time relaxing in the lagoon before we continue on with our Golden Circle Tour. Remember to bring your swimsuit and towels!

Geysir Hot Spring

Geysir geothermal area is one of the best attractions in the Golden Circle route. Here you will see geothermal waters all around you. The bubbling hot springs surround the great Geysir and Strokkur. Ensure that you stay within the constrained area for complete safety. Strokkur is very active and spouts water up in the air every 5-10 minutes. The spouting water can sometimes come up to 40 meters high.

Gullfoss Waterfall

Gullfoss waterfall is one of the top attractions in Iceland. The waterfall is located in the canyon of Hvítá river Hvítá. The picturesque scenery of the massive Gullfoss waterfall will leave you awestruck. It has been chosen one of the top ten best waterfalls in the world. There are numerous paths around 2 tiers of cascading water that you can explore.

Thingvellir National Park

Thingvellir (Þingvellir) is one of the most popular historic sites and national parks, located in the east of Reykjavík. This place is specifically known for Alþing (Althing), which is the site of Iceland’s parliament (10th to 18th centuries). Þingvellir Church and the ruins of old stone shelters can be seen there, at the site. This national park sits on a rift valley that was a result of the separation of two tectonic plates, rocky cliffs and cracks like Almannagjá fault.
