Kerið Volcanic Crater
Explore the ancient beauty of the Kerið volcanic crater, estimated to be around 6500 years old. Immerse yourself around the spectacular caldera, measuring 170 meters in diameter and 55 meters deep. See the stunning aquamarine blue lake at the base of the crater. Take in the grand scale of Kerið by viewing it from the rim or by descending to water level via a wooden staircase. To preserve the natural wonder, there is a small entrance fee which is included in your tour package. Don’t miss the opportunity to witness this unique geological formation.
Friðheimar Tomato Farm
Discover Iceland’s unique equestrian culture and sustainable agriculture practices at Friðheimar tomato farm. Get up close and personal with the Icelandic horse during an interactive horse show where you’ll witness the five signature gaits this small but mighty breed is renowned for. Learn about the farm’s innovative use of geothermal energy in horticulture as you explore the greenhouse where powerful sun lamps are used to grow a variety of vegetables that would not be able to flourish in Iceland’s harsh climate. Learn from your guide about the processes involved in this sustainable method of farming, and then taste the delicious fruits of their labors. After your tour of Friðheimar Tomato farm, enjoy a leisurely lunch (not included in tour price) at a reserved table. This tour is a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the culture and nature of Iceland.
Gullfoss waterfall
Experience the raw power and beauty of Iceland’s most popular waterfall, Gullfoss. Translating to “Golden Falls,” the origin of the name remains a mystery. Some say it’s named after a wealthy farmer named Gýgur who threw his gold into the falls, while others attribute the name to the golden hue of the falls in sunlight.
Fed by meltwater from Langjökull glacier, the Hvitá river gives life to the spectacular Gullfoss, which is at its most powerful during the summer when temperatures are higher, and up to 140 cubic meters of water flow per second. View the falls from various viewpoints or take a trail leading along the waterfall. Don’t miss the opportunity to witness the natural wonder of Gullfoss.
Geysir geothermal area
Experience one of Iceland’s most iconic natural wonders at Geysir in Haukadalur valley. The very term “geyser” is derived from the Icelandic word “Geysir”. While the original Geysir no longer erupts regularly, it is believed to have been damaged by human intervention when locals threw soap into the chasm to increase the frequency of eruptions. However, fear not as the nearby Strokkur Geysir erupts every 5 to 10 minutes, providing a spectacular show for visitors. Watch as the surface water bubbles and boils, building tension before each eruption. You’ll have ample time to enjoy multiple eruptions during your visit.
Þingvellir National Park
Discover Iceland’s rich geological, historical, and cultural heritage at UNESCO World Heritage site, Thingvellir National Park. This unique park sits in the rift valley that marks the boundary between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates, where continental drift is clearly visible, with the plates drifting apart by up to 2cm annually creating a dramatic landscape. Take a leisurely stroll through the Almannagjá canyon, that sits between the two plates and walk between two continents. Thingvellir was also home to the Icelandic Althingi, the oldest continuous parliament in the world, where the descendants of the first settlers formed a general assembly to settle disputes and make laws. The parliament was in operation here until 1798, after which it was moved to Reykjavik. It’s a must-see historical site during your visit to Iceland.
Sky Lagoon
Experience the ultimate in relaxation and rejuvenation at the new Sky Lagoon geothermal spa, located at the tip of a tranquil peninsula just outside of central Reykjavik. As a popular alternative to the Blue Lagoon, Sky Lagoon offers a more intimate and exclusive spa experience with its lower capacity. Enhance your spa experience with the 7-step Ritual Experience included in your Pure Pass ticket. The ritual guides you through a journey of the various pools, saunas, and steam rooms offered at Sky Lagoon, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the healing benefits of geothermal energy. Following your spa visit, a short trip back to the city center where you’ll be dropped off at your preferred location.
Your Sky Lagoon booking will be at 18.00. You will have 2 hours at the Sky Lagoon before you will be transferred to your drop off point.
