Itinerary

1. Ísafjörður Port

As you step off your cruise ship at the Ísafjörður cruise terminal, your private guide eagerly awaits your arrival. Once you have met the private guide, our journey through the region’s highlights begins, promising an adventure filled with breathtaking sights.

2. Ísafjörður Old town

Our first stop is Ísafjörður. During our visit, we’ll stroll along the harbor and explore the historic Old Town area of Ísafjörður, admiring the town’s iconic buildings and statues.

3. Dynjandi Waterfall

Dynjandi waterfall in the Westfjords of Iceland is a mesmerizing natural wonder, often referred to as the “Jewel of the Westfjords.” Cascading down a series of terraced steps, Dynjandi captivates visitors with its stunning beauty and thunderous roar. The largest waterfall in the region, Dynjandi is a sight to behold, offering breathtaking views and a sense of awe-inspiring wonder. It’s a must-visit destination for anyone exploring the rugged and remote landscapes of Iceland’s Westfjords.

4. Naustahvilft - Troll Seat

Naustahvilft- aka “Troll Seat” is part of a flat top mountain, and the dent is where the legend says the troll sat. Trolls are a big part of Iceland mythology. Its a short but steep viewpoint for those feeling adventurous.

5. Botanical Gardens

If time or in the event one of our main stops is closed, we may stop at one of two botanical gardens. Simsons Botanical Garden is also a sculpture garden of Martinus Simson-a danish artist. Or we might visit Jonsgardur Botanical Garden. Please note this stop is not guaranteed.

If there is a change in weather during the tour, stops may be modified to keep the tour participants safe and comfortable.

6. Returning Back to the harbor

The duration of the tour is 6-7 hours and after a day of exploring the magical Westfjords of Iceland we will head back to the harbor where you can board your cruise ship.
