Iceland Tour Packages

Our Iceland Tour Packages are designed and planned by our local experts who have worked in the tourism industry in Iceland for over 10 years. We are born and raised in Iceland and there is nothing we love more than planning a tour package for travelers to see Iceland just like we do.

Why Book a Multi-Day Tour in Iceland

Multi-day Iceland tour packages are one of the best ways to truly experience the country. On a multi-day tour, you get to explore much more of Iceland without having to drive back and forth to Reykjavík every day. You’ll spend your nights in the countryside, waking up each morning already surrounded by nature — glaciers, mountains, waterfalls, and wide-open landscapes.

Another special part of these tours is that you’ll often have the same guide and group for the entire trip. This makes the experience more personal, as you get to know your guide and fellow travelers while exploring Iceland together.

Staying in the Icelandic countryside overnight is something truly unique. The accommodations are often cozy farm guesthouses or small country hotels, surrounded by peaceful scenery. Even if they’re not luxury hotels, they offer something far more valuable — an authentic Icelandic experience with nature right outside your window.

Most Iceland tour packages also include Iceland’s most popular attractions and activities, so you don’t need to worry about planning or missing out on the highlights.

Private, Small Group, or Self-Drive – Which Iceland Tour Package Is Right for You?

There’s no one-size-fits-all when it comes to Iceland tour packages — it depends on your travel style, season, and comfort level.

Small Group Tours

Small group tours are a great choice during the winter months. The roads in Iceland can be icy and unpredictable, so traveling with a professional driver-guide takes away the stress of driving. These tours follow a fixed itinerary and include accommodation, giving you a relaxed and worry-free way to see the country. Even though the route is set, our guides always add something special — stories, hidden gems, and local stops that make each tour memorable.

Private Tours

Private tours are ideal if you want flexibility and a completely personalized experience. They are especially recommended for families, groups of friends, or anyone who wants a private experience with their own guide. You can choose the pace, attractions, and even the hotels — from comfortable countryside stays to premium or luxury options.

Your private guide will adapt the journey to your interests, whether you want to see hidden waterfalls, take extra time for photography, or enjoy local food spots. During the winter, private tours are also a great option if you prefer not to drive in snow or ice.

Self-Drive Tours

For travelers who enjoy independence, a self-drive Iceland tour package offers complete freedom. We organize the rental car, accommodation, itinerary, and activities — you just follow the plan at your own pace.

You can talk to one of our local experts before you go to customize your route, add hikes, or include special stops based on your interests. In summer, this is one of the best ways to explore the country with long daylight hours and accessible mountain roads. In winter, self-drive tours are also possible if you’re confident driving in winter conditions.

Whether you prefer guided comfort or independent adventure, we’ll make sure your Iceland tour package fits your travel style perfectly.

What to Expect from Our Iceland Tour Packages

Our Iceland tour packages are designed by locals who have spent years exploring every corner of the country. We personally know the roads, the hotels, and the best stops — from the famous highlights to the quiet hidden places.

Each package includes carefully selected accommodation, trusted activity partners, and expert guides. The tours are designed for real travelers — families, couples, photographers, and adventurers alike.

We believe the experience is not just about seeing Iceland’s famous waterfalls and glaciers, but about feeling connected to the land. Our guides love sharing stories, legends, and local history, and always try to include some of their favorite “hidden gems” that most visitors never find on their own.

The Best Time to Visit Iceland for Multi-Day Tours

Every season in Iceland offers something different, and choosing when to visit depends on what you want to see.

  • Summer (June – August): Long daylight hours, green landscapes, accessible Highlands, and endless road-trip possibilities. Perfect for self-drive tours and outdoor adventures.

  • Autumn (September – October): Fewer crowds, colorful scenery, and a great time for Northern Lights with mild weather. All types of tour packages are great here, but the roads might be getting slippery in October.

  • Winter (November – March): The season of Northern Lights, ice caves, and snowy landscapes. This is when private or small group tours are best, since driving in the icy winter conditions can be tricky.

  • Spring (April – May): Quieter roads, blooming nature, and baby animals on farms — a peaceful time for countryside tours – all tours are perfect.

No matter the time of year, Iceland always has something magical to offer and we would love to show it to you!

Why Book with a Local Icelandic Travel Expert

We’re not just a travel company — we’re locals who have spent our whole lives exploring Iceland. Our team was born and raised here, and we’ve been in the travel industry for over ten years.

We’ve driven every road, hiked every trail, and stayed in most of the accommodations we recommend. We know which activities are worth your time, which hotels offer the best views, and where you can find the real hidden gems away from the crowds.

Because we’re based here in Iceland year-round, we stay connected to the people who make these tours special — local guides, small hotels, family-run guesthouses, and adventure operators. We only recommend partners we trust and know personally.

When you book with us, you’re getting much more than a tour package — you’re getting the insight and care of a local team who truly loves this country and wants to share the best of it with you.

What to Pack for a Multi-Day Tour in Iceland (Local’s Tips)

Packing for Iceland is all about being ready for every kind of weather — sometimes all in the same day! As locals, here’s what we always tell our travelers:

  • Dress in layers. Start with a base layer, add a warm mid-layer, and finish with a waterproof and windproof outer layer.

  • Good shoes are essential. Bring waterproof hiking boots — many attractions involve walking on gravel, wet grass, or snow.

  • Swimsuit and towel. You’ll need them for hot springs, lagoons, and hotel pools (yes, even in winter!).

  • Reusable water bottle. Iceland’s tap water is pure and delicious everywhere.

  • Hat, gloves, and scarf. Even in summer, evenings can be cool — especially near waterfalls or on boat tours.

  • Camera or smartphone with plenty of storage. You’ll be taking more photos than you expect!

Most importantly, bring a sense of adventure. Iceland’s weather can change quickly, but with the right mindset (and warm clothes), every day will be an unforgettable experience.
