About Tour

Iceland is known for its extreme geological contrasts and is indeed a home to one of the largest glaciers, floating and flipping icebergs, black sea, and diamond beach with human-sized icebergs standing right on the beach, and not to forget the Aurora. Everything in Iceland is sure to leave you awestruck and will entice you to the core. Now, another most interesting, or rather we should say relaxing things to experience in Iceland is the outdoor bathing in the geothermal pools. You might have heard about it and seen in the pictures too! But now, is the time to experience it and visit one of the heavenly places in Iceland, Krauma.

Know More About Krauma Geothermal Baths

Open all year round, Krauma is known for its geothermal baths & spa. The water originates from Deildartunguhver, a hot spring in Reykholtsdalur, Iceland; it is listed as Europe’s most powerful hot spring. The flow of Deildartunguhver is comparatively very high and water emerges at 97 °C.  The bubbling hot pool with rising steam can be spotted from miles away. Though when you reach there, you will see a security fence that ensures nobody gets too close to the source. This is a must see attraction when in Iceland.

Bath amidst the serene Icelandic environment at Krauma that offers 5 extremely relaxing and natural geothermal baths to dive in and get your blood circulation going, with a cold tub and two saunas and a relaxation room to rest beside the fireplace. This makes a total of six baths, 5 warm and 1 cold. Two of the pools are spacious and large enough to accommodate guests perfectly, another two of the pools are in the shape of cochlea while the last one is of a large plate. For those who want to take on some adventure and experience the chilled water too, take a dip in the cold bath with 5°C to 8°C

Spend Time Relaxing in the Steam Baths

If you want to spend some time pampering your body, then head towards the Krauma steam baths that are located in separate buildings with outdoor showers as well. The steam is formed by spraying water from hot springs under timber benches.

Rejuvenating in the Relaxation Room

Just imagine relaxing with your friends and family, amidst the true authentic Icelandic environment, with soothing music playing in the background and a crackling fireplace. Isn’t this amazing?
