Directions to Rauðárfoss Waterfall
Rauðárfoss Waterfall is easily accessible for all travelers. With it’s location near Kirkjubæjarklaustur, many travelers will travel by this waterfall on their trip around the country or along the south coast. It will take you approximately 3 hours and 20 minutes to reach the waterfall if you are driving from Reykjavik, but it is in walking distance from the village of Kirkjubæjarklaustur. When driving from Reykjavik, take Þjóðvegur 1, Route 1 all the way to Klausturvegur in Kirkjubæjarklaustur. From there continue on the Klausturvegur and drive to Systrastapi. From there take left onto Systrastapi, which will take you towards Rauðárfoss Waterfall.
